Potato Tray Bake with Minced Lamb

This is one of the few potato dishes, called Batata Bel Saniye, that are featured in Lebanese cuisine, where rice and bread are the dominant carbohydrates that accompany most of the dishes. It is an old recipe that it is still loved and cooked at home, something that my mother always did. You could always add extra fillings like small cubes of grilled pumpkin, fried mushroom or ready cooked chestnuts.
